CoLab Connects 2016 is a wrap!
On June 23, 2016, a full house of business leaders, government officials, municipal staff, ENGO leaders, students and other champions of the low-carbon economy convened at the Design Exchange in Toronto for CoLab Connects 2016 – a night to celebrate progress of programs in the CoLab Network that are helping businesses thrive by becoming more environmentally sustainable.
The night also featured a candid Speaker’s Forum – a panel of experts on the low-carbon economy moderated by award-winning journalist and Toronto Star columnist Tyler Hamilton, and with speakers The Honourable Glen Murray, Ontario’s Minister of Enviroment and Climate Change; Chris Turner, journalist and best-selling author of The Leap; Céline Bak, founder of Analytica Advisors and lead of the Canadian Clean Technology Innovation Partnership; Julia Langer, President of the Toronto Atmospheric Fund; and Helmi Ansari, Chief Sustainability and Innovation Officer of Grosche International. The panel answered critical questions about the value of engaging the majority of the workforce in the low-carbon economy and talked strategies for doing so.
